A Special Promo Video Featuring The Biggest Names In Korean Entertainment Shocks Netizens, G-Dragon, Jang Wonyoung And The South Korean President Appear
Ahead of the 2025 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ APEC Summit Preparatory Planning Team released a special promotional video on the 2nd of October, drawing strong attention both domestically and internationally.
The video features cameo appearances by President Lee Jae Myung as well as top K-celebrities including G-Dragon, with all participants taking part without receiving any appearance fees, adding even more significance.
The promotional video was directed by Shin Woo Seok of “Dolphin Kidnapping Group,” who has been recognized for his originality and unconventional directing style. Director Shin aimed to break away from the traditional framework of national event promotional videos, delivering the message in a unique way.
In the video, APEC’s promotional ambassador G-Dragon plays the lead role, while film director Park Chan Wook, former national soccer player Park Ji Sung, IVE’s Jang Wonyoung, chef Ahn Sung Jae, and DJ Peggy Gou appear in various roles, representing Korea’s different fields. In particular, all participants reportedly joined without any guarantee fees to maximize the impact of the message.
Director Shin revealed that G-Dragon returned to Korea right after his concert in New York to film and immediately departed again for Las Vegas, managing an intense schedule. Park Chan Wook also took part in the filming in line with his return to Korea amid a busy movie promotion schedule. Shin expressed gratitude for the cast’s active participation.
