Legendary group BIGBANG is set to return with a new album to mark their 20th debut anniversary.
On the 19th of April (local time), BIGBANG took the stage at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California, performing at the Outdoor Theatre for the second time following their stage on the 12th.
During the performance, G-Dragon surprised fans by announcing, “I’ll share some special news here first. We’ve finished preparing our new album, and we’ll start a world tour in August.”
This marks BIGBANG’s first full-group album in about four years since the release of Still Life in 2022, and their first concert tour in nine years since 2017.
The upcoming album and tour are especially meaningful as they celebrate the group’s 20th anniversary, drawing massive anticipation from fans worldwide. G-Dragon described this new chapter as “Restart,” declaring, “BIGBANG continues.”
Member Taeyang expressed gratitude, saying, “Thank you sincerely for loving us for such a long time,” while Daesung added, “Thank you for supporting us so we could keep singing for 20 years despite our shortcomings. We’ll continue to be a BIGBANG that delivers happiness.”
