BLACKPINK Reportedly Expected To Renew Contract With YG Entertainment
Star News has exclusively reported that BLACKPINK will remain with YG Entertainment!
According to Star News on April 4th, members of girl group BLACKPINK (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa) who are approaching the end of their contracts in late August are leaning towards re-signing with YG Entertainment.
According to insiders close to the members, unless there are special circumstances, BLACKPINK members, whose contracts expire in about four months, intend to continue their relationship with YG Entertainment. This is thought to be due to the impact of their world tour.
BLACKPINK is currently on the largest-scale world tour of any K-pop girl group, meeting 1.5 million fans worldwide.
Last year, they successfully completed 14 performances in seven North American cities and 10 performances in seven European cities, and are now meeting their Asian fans.
In mid-April, they are scheduled to perform as headliners at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the U.S., and in July, they will perform at the Hyde Park British Summer Time Festival in the U.K.
According to insiders, BLACKPINK’s strong teamwork and continued success have further strengthened their trust in YG Entertainment.
Since their official debut on August 8th, 2016, BLACKPINK has been active for nearly seven years and has become a top global girl group. They have achieved remarkable records on prestigious overseas charts such as the Billboard chart, and all members have established themselves as “global hot icons” to the point of being brand ambassadors.
