Famous Kpop Idol Revealed To Have Gifted Long-Time Hair Stylist Business Class Tickets For His Work

The secret behind how Rosé of BLACKPINK has maintained her blonde hair for seven years has been revealed, along with a heartwarming story about her kindness.

In a video released recently on the YouTube channel Workers High, hair artist Cha Cha (Cha Jong Hyun), who is in charge of hair styling for BLACKPINK, Sunmi, and (G)I-DLE, appeared as a guest.

On this day, Director Cha Cha mentioned Rosé’s blonde hairstyle as one of his signature works. He said, “These days it’s really causing a stir. In Rosé’s case, she has maintained blonde hair for seven years,” adding that she gets her roots touched up “once every two weeks,” drawing amazement. When asked about scalp damage, he replied, “Seeing how she has maintained it well until now, I think it’s because she genuinely likes it.”

Director Cha Cha also shared Rosé’s extraordinary professionalism. “Rosé actually wants to dye her hair even more often. So I asked her, ‘For the health of your hair and scalp, wouldn’t it be better to leave a bit more time in between?’ and she told me, ‘More than the health of my hair and scalp, how I appear to the public is more important.’ After hearing that, I had nothing to say. I resolved to work even harder to prevent damage.”

He added confidently, “The bleach used to achieve blonde hair may be similar, but I have my own recipe to reduce uneven tones and minimize damage. Even if it were revealed, it wouldn’t be easy to replicate.”

Director Cha Cha also shared an anecdote about overseas trips. “Some people ask what happens if two weeks pass and Rosé is in the U.S. or Paris,” he said. “I go on same-day business trips. For places like Los Angeles or San Francisco, I arrive in the morning, have lunch at the hotel, dye her hair, which takes three to four hours for bleaching and coloring, and then return to Korea on an evening flight.”

He explained, “It takes 12 hours just to get to LA, but I stay less than 12 hours. My body couldn’t handle it. Especially after a trip to Paris, I developed issues with my pelvis and tailbone.”

He continued, “Because of health concerns, I was thinking about it, and thankfully Rosé booked me a business-class seat just for that one-day schedule. Even chaebol families wouldn’t do that. It was her way of thinking of me. That made me want to work even harder.”

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK released their third mini album “DEADLINE” on February 27, proving their continued global presence. In particular, Rosé won the “International Song of the Year” award at the 46th BRIT Awards with her global mega-hit “APT.” The achievement is especially meaningful as it marks the first time a K-pop act has won in that category at one of the United Kingdom’s most prestigious music award ceremonies.
