“I Thought Of Disbandment Tens Of Thousands Of Times,” BTS’s RM Gets Real In Recent Live Stream
RM of the group BTS shared his feelings ahead of the group’s full-group comeback next year.
On the 6th of December, RM communicated with fans through a Weverse live broadcast.
He said, “Many people ask, ‘Why did you just waste the second half of 2025?’ ‘Why didn’t you do anything?’ I also wanted to do various activities after being discharged, but there were circumstances I can’t talk about. I don’t even have the right to explain them, so I can’t reveal everything.”
He continued, “Our last concert was in October 2022, so it’s already been more than three years. I want to perform right away, but it takes a lot of preparation and the personal burden is big. Since last month I haven’t even been able to sleep. I even wondered if I should get a prescription for sleeping pills.”
RM said, “I’m truly sorry for making you wait for such a long time. But we have our reasons, and we can’t make a comeback until we can deliver something that will satisfy you.”
He added, “Considering the scale and many circumstances, it may sound like an excuse, but I ask for your understanding. We will definitely return, and even if at times it may not be exactly what you want, we will do our best.”
He also mentioned the possibility of disbandment, revealing his complicated feelings. RM said, “I’ve thought tens of thousands of times, ‘Would it be better to disband the team or stop activities?’ But the reason we continue the team is the love between the members and the respect for the fans.”
He added, “I hope you know that we love you. Even if that love doesn’t all come back to us, I will love you in my own way,” expressing his affection for the ARMY fandom.
