BTS V Speaks Up After Private Conversations With Min Hee Jin Gets Used As Court Evidence, He Had This To Say
V of BTS has expressed discomfort after a private conversation he had with Min Hee Jin, former CEO of ADOR, was used as court evidence. HYBE has also addressed the matter.
On the 20th of February, V shared a screenshot of a related article on his personal account and spoke about the situation involving his KakaoTalk messages with Min Hee Jin being submitted as evidence.
He stated, “It was part of a private, everyday conversation I shared while empathizing with her because she was an acquaintance. I had absolutely no intention of taking sides.” He continued, “However, I feel very taken aback that the conversation was submitted as evidence without my consent.”
HYBE also clarified their stance. A company representative told Xports News,“Since it was a private conversation with an acquaintance, he was simply speaking in a way that showed empathy. It has been confirmed that he did not agree with any specific statements made by the other party,” cautioning against over-interpretation.
They added, “It has also been confirmed that the artist wanted to express his dissatisfaction over his private conversation being submitted as trial material without consent.”
Previously, in relation to the legal dispute between HYBE and Min Hee Jin, the first trial ruling reportedly referenced part of the messenger conversation between V and Min Hee Jin as evidence, alongside the court’s judgment on the ‘copying allegations of ILLIT resembling NewJeans.’
According to the ruling, V had sent a message to Min Hee Jin saying, “(There’s always talk about plagiarism, there’s never been a time when it didn’t come up) I also looked at it and thought, ‘Ah, this seems similar…’”
