BTS member Suga (real name Min Yoon Gi, 31) has been fined for riding an electric scooter while heavily intoxicated.

Recently, the Seoul Western District Court issued a summary order, fining Suga 15 million won (approximately USD 11,200) for violating the Road Traffic Act, specifically for driving under the influence (DUI).

The case was handled as a summary order, a legal procedure for less severe offenses where only written submissions are reviewed without a formal court trial. If Suga disagrees with the decision, he has seven days from the issuance of the order to request a formal trial.

Previously, it was reported that on the night of August 6th, Suga had fallen while driving a personal mobility device under the influence of alcohol, resulting in his license being revoked for having a blood alcohol concentration of over 0.08%. Big Hit issued an apology confirming the news and Suga later issued a public apology too, expressing deep regret and taking full responsibility for his actions.

However, due to several inconsistencies in Big Hit’s statement, the agency had to issue a correction and a 2nd apology. And Suga also ended up issuing a 2nd apology later on.
