Beloved Kpop Boy Group CIX Falls Victim To The 7-Year Curse, To End Activities As A Group
CIX will be ending their team activities ahead of their 7th anniversary.
On the 29th of April, their agency C9 Entertainment announced through the official fan cafe, “CIX, who have been together with fans through various activities for the past 7 years since their debut on July 21, 2019, will now halt team activities.”
The agency explained,“Members BX and Seunghun will have their exclusive contracts end as of April 30. After the suspension of team activities was decided, Yonghee applied for voluntary enlistment and is scheduled to enter the training center on May 11, receive basic military training, and fulfill his duty of national defense as an active-duty soldier in the army.”
They continued, “Yonghee’s exclusive contract will end simultaneously with his enlistment, and there will be no separate official event on the day of his enlistment. We are preparing a small gathering where fans can say goodbye to Yonghee before his enlistment, and detailed information will be provided later.”
Additionally, “Hyunsuk is currently focusing on a drama that is in the middle of filming, and we are supporting related activities so he can concentrate. Accordingly, his exclusive contract is scheduled to end on May 31,” they added.
The agency stated, “We ask for your warm encouragement for the members as they do their best in their respective lives with new appearances in new environments. We will continue to make practical efforts, such as communicating with the members, so that the brand CIX can return to you in the future with their unique music. We sincerely thank you for the great support and love you have shown to CIX.”
CIX debuted in 2019 as a five-member group, but after Bae Jinyoung left the agency in August 2024, they continued activities as a four-member group.
