Beloved Kpop Idol Diagnosed With Shocking Condition, Agency Receives Backlash
Yeojun from the kpop group CLOSE YOUR EYES has been hospitalized and diagnosed with rhabdomyolysis, a serious condition that shocked fans.
On February 19, his agency, UNCORE, released an official statement to share the shocking news. Yeojun has been feeling unwell and went to the hospital. There, he was diagnosed with rhabdomyolysis. He will be hospitalized and treated for a week, hence, he will be on a short hiatus.
The news shocked fans because of the condition he’s been diagnosed with. Rhabdomyolysis occurs when muscle tissues begin to break down releasing harmful substances into the bloodstream. This can lead to kidney damage and is known for being a serious case. Additionally, its caused by extreme cases of physical exertion, dehydration, heat stroke and more.
The diagnosis left fans deeply worried about the idol and his health, with many criticizing the agency for only giving him a week of hiatus. Many fans wonder if this period would be enough for him to properly recover. Others talked about how he could’ve gotten diagnosed with this considering his very young age. Yeojun is only 20 years old.
