Danielle Speaks Up Via Live Broadcast For The 1st Time After Her Removal From NewJeans, This Is What She Said
Danielle broke down in tears as soon as she began her live broadcast, saying goodbye to “Bunnies” (the NewJeans fandom).
On the 12th of January, Danielle held her first live broadcast since her removal from NewJeans through a newly created SNS account.
As soon as the live began, Danielle greeted viewers and immediately burst into tears. Speaking amid deep emotion, she said, “So much warmth still remains. Over the past time, I learned a lot and had to protect many things. The way I look at my family, and even the way I see the world, has changed a little.”
She continued, “When I think of Bunnies, the first thing that always comes to mind is your eyes. The moments we faced each other on stage, the feeling that our hearts were constantly connected—those memories are quietly supporting who I am today,” expressing her gratitude.
She added, “Under an unfamiliar sky, I met myself again, and I also kept stories for Bunnies in my heart. I haven’t shared them yet, but I look forward to the day I do.”
She also added, “I fought to the very end to be together with the members, and that truth stays with me.”
Danielle went on to say, “There is one thing I really want to tell you. Many situations right now are still in the process of being sorted out. And this much I can say clearly: in one corner of my heart, NewJeans is always there. Even if we are in slightly different places, I hope we can share the same heart and become one Bunnies.”
In closing, she said, “Bunnies… this is not the end. In the days ahead, whether through music, silence, or even small moments, I want to share things truthfully and beautifully. In the way I slowly return the feelings you gave me. I hope your days are gentle, healthy, and filled with light. Thank you. Always,” before ending the broadcast.
Danielle offered her farewell to Bunnies as a member of NewJeans. However, by signaling a new beginning and promising to continue communicating and staying connected with Bunnies, she raised expectations for her future path.
Previously, NewJeans’ agency ADOR stated that it had determined it would be difficult for Danielle to continue as a NewJeans member and ADOR artist and notified her of the termination of her exclusive contract.
ADOR then filed a lawsuit seeking approximately 43.1 billion won [around $30 million] in damages against Danielle, one member of her family, and former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin. In response, Danielle has appointed legal representation and is preparing to respond through legal channels.
