Famous Entertainer And Broadcaster Dex Shocks By Revealing His Plans To Ultimately Retire

Several Korean celebrities who are currently enjoying successful careers have started opening up about their retirement plans, preparing for the second chapter of their lives, this include famous TV personality and broadcaster Dex!

TV personality Dex (real name Kim Jin Young) recently shared his thoughts on life after showbiz during an appearance on the YouTube channel “Life84,” where he joined Kian84 and Ji Ye Eun for a mountain hiking trip.

When asked about how he’s been doing, Dex said his mindset toward work has shifted. “There was a time when my drastically changed life made each day feel painful,” he admitted. “But now, I’m working really hard.”

He resonated with a comment made by Yoo Jae Suk, who once said, “You have to be prepared for work to completely dry up.” Dex agreed and added, “I’ve come to work with the mindset that even if everything falls apart tomorrow, it’s okay. I have a plan. I’ll prepare to become a firefighter.”

He went on to explain, “Having something in place that allows me to walk away boldly makes me realize this isn’t all there is to life. That doesn’t mean I won’t give my all—I’m pouring everything into what I do now so that when it’s time to go, I can leave with no regrets.”

By bringing up his plans for a potential retirement, Dex surprised his fans.

Dex is currently appearing on MBC’s travel variety show “Around the World Since I Was Born 4” and stays connected with global fans through his personal YouTube channel “Dex101.”
