Dispatch Accuses WINNER’s Song Mino Of Poor Alternative Service In The Military, YG Responds
WINNER’s Song Mino is embroiled in poor alternative service suspicions, and his agency YG Entertainment has shared its stance.
On the 17th of December, YG Entertainment stated, “It is difficult to confirm detailed information regarding the artist’s service,” but added, “However, sick leave and vacation were used in accordance with regulations, and the reasons were an extension of treatment he had been receiving before his service.”
On the same day, Dispatch reported that Song Mino, who is fulfilling alternative service as a social service worker, faced allegations of neglecting his duties after transferring from the Seoul Mapo Facilities Management Corporation to the Mapo Residents’ Convenience Facilities in March.
As evidence, they claimed that Song Mino went on a 5-night, 6-day trip to Hawaii on October 30 and did not properly return to work even after coming back. They also stated that they requested CCTV footage of his attendance from L, who is in charge of the service facility, but were refused due to privacy reasons.
Song Mino has been fulfilling his alternative service since March 24 of last year. He is scheduled for discharge in six days, on the 23rd.
