Beloved Kpop Boy Group DKZ Announces Disbandment Upon Contract Expiration
DKZ will disband after 7 years since its debut.
On the 15th of April, their agency, Dongyo Entertainment, shared the sad news via an official SNS statement.
Despite the group’s disbandment, the members will not be leaving the agency. The longest-standing members, Jaechan and Jonghyeong, have also renewed their contracts.
The agency explained, “Starting in June, the members will meet fans through individual activities,” adding that they will fully support all five members in their future endeavors.
DKZ debuted in 2019 under the name Dongkiz and has undergone several lineup changes over the years, including member departures and additions. During that process, the group rebranded to DKZ and continued their activities under the new name.

We inform you about DKZ’s future group activities.
Hello, this is Dongyo Entertainment. First, we sincerely thank the fans who send generous love and support toward DKZ.
After sufficient discussion with the members, we have agreed to conclude group activities with the scheduled activities up to May 31, 2026 as the last.
To Jaechan and Joonwoo, who have led the team more brilliantly than anyone over the past 7 years,
and to Sehyun, Minkyu, and Giseok, who joined in 2022 and became a strong support,
we deeply thank the members for their valuable effort and time spent together with our company.
We also once again express our gratitude to the fans who accompanied us on this brilliant journey.
Sehyun, Minkyu, Jaechan, Joonwoo, and Giseok will meet fans through individual activities starting from June 2026.
Jaechan and Joonwoo, who have completed contract renewals with our company, will continue to be active in various fields, and Sehyun, Minkyu, and Giseok will also move forward anew as artists under our agency.
Our company will continue to provide full support for the activities of the five members.
We ask for your continued love and support for Sehyun, Minkyu, Jaechan, Joonwoo, and Giseok, who will continue to shine in their respective places.
