Golden Hitmaker EJAE Stuns With Drastic Transformation On Milan Runway Weeks Before Her Wedding
EJAE, the composer and singer behind “Golden,” the main OST of Netflix’s animated film “KPop Demon Hunters” that sparked a global sensation, turned heads on the Milan runway with a dramatically slimmed-down look just weeks ahead of her November wedding.
EJAE recently shared photos and videos on social media of her runway debut at “Vogue World 2026: Milan,” held in Milan, Italy.
In the footage, EJAE showed off a strikingly different look from her usual bright and lovely image, with a noticeably slimmed silhouette, sharp jawline, and pronounced collarbones drawing attention on the scene. With her hair pulled back neatly and wearing an archival dress by Roberto Capucci, EJAE exuded an aura on par with a professional model, with an intense gaze and composed expression.
EJAE shared her excitement, writing, “Thank you for giving me the chance to walk a runway for the first time through Vogue World,” and, “It was an amazing experience to see a breathtaking show with hundreds of creators. Thank you for the invitation.” American fashion magazines Vogue and Teen Vogue also separately spotlighted the moment as EJAE’s “major runway debut,” featuring her as a key celebrity guest.
The runway debut is drawing extra attention as it comes just about 40 days before her wedding. EJAE will marry Korean American music producer Sam Kim in Los Angeles on November 7, following nine years of dating. The two met during a songwriting session in 2017 and their relationship blossomed from there. Her noticeably slimmer look ahead of the wedding has sparked surprise and interest among fans worldwide.
Born in Seoul, Korean American EJAE trained as an SM Entertainment trainee before establishing herself as a respected K-pop songwriter. Last year, she voiced Rumi, a member of the fictional girl group HUNTR/X, in Netflix’s animated film “KPop Demon Hunters,” and personally wrote, composed, and performed the main OST “Golden,” which topped Billboard charts and became a massive global hit.
Riding that global recognition, EJAE performed the official theme song “DNA” alongside world-renowned popera tenor Andrea Bocelli at the opening ceremony of the “2026 FIFA World Cup” in Mexico City Stadium on June 12, further cementing her status as a world-class artist.
