Popular Idol-Actress Leaves Agency After 14 Years, Joins This One Instead
Singer and actress Jung Eunji has begun a new chapter with Billions.
On the 2nd of May, Billions announced, “We have signed an exclusive contract with Jung Eun Ji.” They added, “She has established a unique presence as a ‘versatile entertainer’ by actively working in music, acting, and variety. We plan to fully support her so that she can continue her broad range of activities.”
Jung Eun Ji debuted in 2011 as the main vocalist of the girl group Apink. The following year, she received much love through the drama “Reply 1997,” for which she won the Best New Actress award in the TV category at the 49th Baeksang Arts Awards. Since then, she has showcased her presence as an actress through various works such as “That Winter, the Wind Blows,” “Untouchable,” “Work Later, Drink Now,” andmore.
Currently, Jung Eun Ji is appearing in the new KBS2 Wednesday-Thursday drama “Pump Up the Healthy Love” as Mi Ran, a fitness newbie, where she is showing off her bubbly charm. Through her exclusive contract with Billions, she is now labelmates with Lee Jun Young, her co-star in the drama.
IST Entertainment, which had accompanied Jung Eun Ji for 14 years, also announced through their official SNS on the same day that her exclusive contract recently ended. They stated, “We sincerely support Jung Eun Ji’s future and her shining new journey.”
Meanwhile, Billions, Jung Eun Ji’s new agency, is also home to actors such as Son Hyun Joo, Choi Moo Sung, Go Chang Seok, Heo Sung Tae, Kim Ha Neul, and Lee Jun Young.
