EXO’s Kyungsoo Shares Behind-The-Scenes Details Of How He Managed To Attend Kim Woo Bin’s Wedding
EXO member Kyungsoo drew attention after sharing a behind-the-scenes story related to the wedding of actors Kim Woo Bin and Shin Min Ah.
On the 23rd of January, a video featuring Suho, Chanyeol, Kai, Kyungsoo, and Sehun was uploaded to the YouTube channel “Hal Myungsoo” to celebrate EXO’s comeback with their 8th full-length album “REVERXE.” Under the concept of “Myungsoo Company,” the members showed off their variety skills while chatting cheerfully with Park Myungsoo.
EXO recently announced their full-group return by appearing on an awards show stage for the first time in about eight years at the “2025 Melon Music Awards.” In particular, it became a hot topic when it was revealed that on the same day as the awards ceremony, Kyungsoo briefly stopped by the wedding of his close friends Kim Woo Bin and Shin Min Ah. Regarding this, Kyungsoo explained, “Because of my schedule, I couldn’t stay for long.” Hearing this, Park Myungsoo immediately fired off his signature blunt question: “So how much did you give as a congratulatory gift?” He continued without hesitation, asking, “Was it in the 100,000 won range, or the 1 million won range?” causing laughter on set.
Smiling awkwardly,Kyungsoo honestly replied, “It was in the 1 million won [over $650] range,” surprising everyone. What shocked them even more was the story behind the wedding song. Kyungsoo revealed, “I was originally supposed to sing at the wedding,” adding that he had planned to perform his solo song “Popcorn,” leaving everyone stunned.
As the story came out, Park Myungsoo asked on the spot, “Then sing a bit here,” and without hesitation, Kyungsoo sang part of “Popcorn” live, showing off his sweet vocals. Though it was only a short verse, the studio instantly transformed into a concert-like atmosphere.
Fans reacted enthusiastically, commenting, “It’s a shame we couldn’t hear the wedding performance,” “Kyungsoo’s voice is perfect for wedding songs,” and “That song would’ve been worth more than 1 million won.”
