FIFTY FIFTY’s Keena Revealed To Be Suffering From PTSD Due To Legal Confrontation With Producer Of “Cupid” Hit Song
FIFTY FIFTY’s Keena has suddenly halted her activities, and her agency has stated that it is due to PTSD caused by a legal confrontation with producer An Sung Il.
On May 9, a representative from FIFTY FIFTY’s agency ATTRAKT told MHN, “Keena’s health deteriorated after the face-to-face interrogation with An Sung Il. She will be taking a break for the time being.”
On August 26, 2023, Keena filed a complaint against An Sung Il for forging private documents and using forged documents. He was accused of forging her signature without consent and allocating only 0.5% copyright ownership to her for FIFTY FIFTY’s global hit “Cupid.”
Previously, on May 7, the agency announced via the official fan community Weverse that “Keena will not be participating in the entire album promotion due to health reasons.”
They explained, “Recently, her health condition has worsened, and it was decided that sufficient rest and recovery are necessary. After discussions with the artist and considering her own wishes, she will unfortunately not be part of this promotion.”
On May 8, it was revealed that ATTRAKT had lost a copyright ownership lawsuit related to “Cupid.” The court ruled in favor of The Givers—led by An Sung Il—over ATTRAKT, stating that The Givers held the copyright ownership for the song.
An Sung Il was previously identified as the figure behind the 2023 contract dispute involving FIFTY FIFTY. While the other members—Sae Na, Aran, and Sio—left ATTRAKT and re-debuted under a new agency and announced their plans to debut in Ablume, Keena returned alone to ATTRAKT and has continued FIFTY FIFTY activities with newly added members.
Meanwhile, FIFTY FIFTY released their third mini-album Day & Night on April 29.
Wishing Keena a swift recovery!
