Former K-Pop Idol And Convicted Sex Offender’s TikTok Account Deleted One Day After Creating It
A former member of Roo’ra and convicted sex offender, Ko Young Wook, had his newly created TikTok account deleted just one day after opening it.
TikTok said on September 28, “After reviewing the relevant details, we deleted Ko Young Wook’s TikTok account on the morning of September 28.”
TikTok explained, “Under our community guidelines, if it’s confirmed that an account holder has committed sex crimes against minors, we permanently suspend not only that account but any other accounts held by that user. This action was also based on our community guidelines.”
On September 27, Ko Young Wook shared his new TikTok account on his social media, saying he had created a new space to communicate with fans online. The account featured videos of him walking down the street wearing a padded jacket and hat.
However, his account was deleted by TikTok just a day after it was created. Ko Young Wook previously attempted a comeback in 2020 by opening YouTube and Instagram accounts, but those were also removed after platform restrictions were placed on his account openings due to his prior conviction for sex crimes against a minor.
Ko Young Wook was previously sentenced to two years and six months in prison for sex crimes against a minor and was released in 2015 after serving his sentence.
