Former LE SSERAFIM Member Kim Garam’s New Career Path Shocks Netizens

Former LE SSERAFIM member Kim Garam is officially beginning her acting career.

On June 16, Management Koo announced that it had signed an exclusive contract with Kim Garam.

The agency stated, “We have consistently followed Kim Garam’s YouTube activities and were deeply impressed by her limitless potential for growth as an actress and her sincere attitude. The most important factor behind our decision to sign her was seeing how she works tirelessly every day to achieve her dream and continuously improve herself.”

The company added, “She has been steadily undergoing training and conducting in-depth study to improve her acting skills, showing remarkable growth in a short period of time. In addition to acting, she has been dedicating time to studying English and Japanese with an eye toward the global market, and has even been teaching herself guitar. She is an artist who never stops challenging herself and learning new things.”

The agency continued, “Kim Garam spends most of her day preparing for and pursuing her earnest dream of becoming an actress. We highly value her attitude of constantly striving to improve areas where she feels she is lacking. After extensive internal discussions, we became convinced of her immense potential and unlimited room for growth, which led us to sign an exclusive contract with her.”

Kim Garam debuted as a member of LE SSERAFIM in May 2022. However, following a school bullying controversy, she suspended activities just two weeks after debut and eventually left the group.

Since then, she enrolled at Konkuk University in 2024, where she is majoring in Media Acting. In March of this year, she also launched a YouTube channel and began communicating with the public again.

Meanwhile, Management Koo is home to actors Lee Yo Won, Ha Seok Jin, Seo Ji Hoon, Yoo In Soo, and Kwon Hyuk.
