Famous Girl Group Whose Disbandment Came As A Huge Shock Is Set To Reunite For 10th Debut Anniversary
The famous girl group GFRIEND has decided to reunite in celebration of their 10th debut anniversary delighting fans.
On the 24th of September, Source Music told HeraldPOP, “GFRIEND plans to meet fans in January next year with a special project to commemorate their 10th debut anniversary.”
The agency added, “The members’ desire to give BUDDYs [GFRIEND’s fandom] precious memories led to the realization of this project. We ask for much anticipation and support.”
GFRIEND debuted in 2015 with popular songs like “Me Gustas Tu,” “Rough,” and “Time for the Moon Night.” However, the group ceased activities after their contract ended in 2021 and Source Music shocked with their sudden disbandment announcement. Since then, Eunha, SinB, and Umji have re-debuted as the group VIVIZ and the rest pursued solo activities.
There was even a lot of commission and severe backlash against Source Music due to the handling of the disbandment news. The agency ended up issuing two statements to apologize for the group’s sudden disbandment.
