(G)I-DLE showcased their exceptional talent with a mega-crew performance at the 2024 MAMA Awards, and Soyeon made headlines for mentioning Soojin.

On November 23, the second chapter of the 2024 MAMA Awards was held at Kyocera Dome Osaka, Japan. (G)I-DLE delivered an intense mega-crew stage that left a strong impression on fans.

Soyeon opened the performance dramatically, surrounded by numerous microphones, captivating the audience with her powerful rap. During her rap, she boldly referenced former member Seo Soojin, who left the group in 2021 following school bullying allegations, saying, “I remember what you said in 2021. What can you do without Soojin?”

During the performance, Soyeon also addressed contract termination rumors with honest and impactful lyrics, further highlighting her candid personality. Following her striking opening, (G)I-DLE performed their song Super Lady alongside a large group of dancers, demonstrating their solid live vocals with the lyrics, “I absolutely hate being sick.”
