Popular 2nd Gen Kpop Idol Admits She Felt Intimidated By Suzy And Jiyeon’s Visuals In The Past

Yura of Girl’s Day candidly confessed that she felt intimidated by the visuals of Suzy and Jiyeon during her rookie days.

Recently, the YouTube channel “YuraYuraHae” uploaded a video. In the video, Yura invited fellow Girl’s Day member Sojin as the first guest of her talk segment “Yura’s Girl’s Talk.”

While reminiscing about their group activities, Sojin recalled her first meeting with the younger members Yura and Hyeri. She said, “Looking back now, they seemed really innocent, like girls who had just come up to Seoul from the countryside. But now that I think about it, it also looked like they were trying their best to appear kind and non-threatening,” making everyone laugh.

Yura responded by saying she did not clearly remember their first meeting, but Sojin recalled, “You had great energy. You showed a lot of confidence.”

Yura then opened up about the culture shock she experienced after moving from Ulsan to Seoul as a trainee. She shared, “When I first came up from Ulsan, I thought I was the prettiest. But after arriving, I thought, ‘I’m the ugliest one here. This is bad.’” She revealed that she especially felt shocked after appearing on the rookie girl group variety show “Bouquet.”

Yura continued, “Do you remember when we filmed wearing wedding dresses? First, I saw Suzy and was shocked. Then I saw Jiyeon and got shocked a second time. There wasn’t just one or two people who shocked me.” She admitted that she felt overwhelmed by their visuals during her debut days.

She added, “Right after filming, I completely lost confidence and went into a booth alone and cried, thinking, ‘The Seoul metropolitan area really is different.’” Her honest confession drew sympathy from viewers.
