BREAKING: Two NewJeans Members Have Decided To Return Back To ADOR
Two NewJeans members, Haerin and Hyein, who had been in a contractual dispute with their agency ADOR, will be returning to the company.
On the 12th of November, ADOR announced, “Haerin and Hyein have expressed their intention to continue their activities with ADOR.”
The agency added, “After careful consideration with their families and thorough discussions with ADOR, both members decided to respect the court’s ruling and abide by their exclusive contracts.”
With the two members declaring their return, public attention is now focused on the remaining three members’ next steps, the potential resumption of NewJeans’ group activities, and the ongoing trial involving former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin.
Previously, all five members of NewJeans had refused to return to ADOR, emphasizing that it was a “unanimous decision.” However, Haerin and Hyein’s choice to return has weakened the position of the other three members. Given that the court has already ruled in favor of ADOR, their collective stance that “they cannot work with ADOR” now appears less convincing.
Additionally, there is growing interest in what stance the returning members will take during the ongoing legal proceedings between ADOR and former CEO Min Hee Jin. ADOR has claimed that Min attempted to take NewJeans away from the company, and since the members had previously expressed support for her, there is speculation that they may now testify in greater detail about what happened.
Meanwhile, NewJeans had claimed that their contract with ADOR was terminated last November due to alleged breaches by the agency. However, both the injunction and first trial rulings were decided in favor of ADOR.
