Famous Korean Variety Star Spotted Helping With Trash Pickup On The Road, Receives Immense Praise
A video showing TV personality Hong Seok Cheol personally picking up trash scattered across a road with his bare hands has been making waves online.
A video filmed on a road near Gongdeok Station in Seoul recently spread across social media and online communities. The footage shows several bags of trash that had fallen off a truck scattered across the road in the early morning hours, with a street cleaner working to clean it up.
Hong Seok Cheol, who witnessed the scene, pulled his car over. After asking his passenger to turn on the hazard lights, he got out of the car and immediately began picking up the scattered trash by hand, piece by piece, placing it back into the bags. Once finished, Hong Seok Cheol greeted the street cleaner before getting back in his car.
It’s reportedly not a staged moment — the video is said to have been a candid, unplanned capture of him helping a street cleaner who was struggling with the sudden mess.
Online users who saw the clip reacted with comments like “This guy’s the real deal,” “He gets cooler as he gets older,” “It’s more touching because it wasn’t for show,” and “That’s what real character looks like.” One user commented, “I remember him always being kind to us when we went to his restaurant too.”
