Famous Big Hit Idol Explains Photo Of Himself With A Woman To Fans, Denies They’re Dating

TXT member Huening Kai (23) has personally addressed the recent dating rumors circulating online after a photo of himself and a woman went viral.

During the Chuseok holiday, a video surfaced on an online community showing Huening Kai leaving a bar with a woman and getting into a car together. The netizen who uploaded the video claimed, “They drank together until dawn, and the woman wasn’t a family member,” sparking speculation about a possible relationship.

In response, Huening Kai personally explained the situation through the fan communication platform Weverse in the early hours of October 10.

Huening Kai wrote, “I felt too sorry to MOA and didn’t see any reason to hide, so I’ll just explain. She’s an acquaintance, and it was a situation where I couldn’t just leave her there, so I dropped her off and went straight back to the dorm. Since it was the holiday, everywhere was closed, so we went to one of the few open places,” he said, explaining the context.

He continued, “I’ve always hated causing trouble for my members, and I’m a total homebody, so I rarely go out. But since it had been a while, I met up with an acquaintance, and afterward, I kept thinking about how I should’ve handled it. I really dislike lying, so I just wanted to be honest,” he said, once again emphasizing that the dating rumors were false.

Huening Kai expressed his regret to his members and fans, saying, “I really want to focus more on my work and on MOA. I want to become someone who gives trust, but I feel like I’ve failed to do that, and I’m really sorry. My members, MOA, and my family come first — I don’t care what happens to me, but I feel so sorry for making MOA worry.”

TXT’s five members previously announced their contract renewal on August 22, coinciding with their fandom’s anniversary.
