Husband of Popular 2nd Gen Idol Undergoes Urgent Brain Surgery

Hwang Tae-kyung, the husband of Brown Eyed Girls’ Narsha and a businessman, has undergone brain surgery.

On the 30th of April, Hwang announced on Instagram, “I underwent brain surgery somewhat urgently.”

He stated, “Symptoms had been progressing for a long time, and recently daily life became difficult. I successfully completed the surgery on the 29th and am now focusing on recovery and various examinations.” He added, “I apologize for not being able to inform those around me beforehand and for being absent. I feel bad for causing inconvenience and worry that I may have unintentionally caused misunderstandings by failing to attend to various appointments and celebrations. I ask for your generous understanding.”

He added,“I am currently wearing a respirator, so phone calls are difficult. I apologize for not being able to respond to contacts. I will check messages even if it takes a little longer. In about a month, daily life should become slightly possible again. I will contact each of you one by one in a healthy state. Thank you for your concern and support.”

Hwang Tae-kyung married Narsha in 2016. As the CEO of an online shopping mall, he has also been active as a music producer, participating in composing the solo song ‘Wanna Do’ by Block B’s Ukwon in 2023. He and Narsha also drew attention when they appeared together on SBS’s “My Love – Guest for 100 Years” in 2018.
