HYBE, the agency of the group BTS, has once again stated that recent rumors circulating online are “false information” and has revealed that they will take legal action.

Recently, Big Hit Music stated, “In this quarter, we have collected evidence of various acts that insult, defame, and infringe on the rights of artists through reports from fans and our own monitoring, and submitted multiple criminal complaints to investigative agencies.”

They continued, “We reiterate that various malicious rumors surrounding the artists, which were announced separately in April and May, are not true. We have continued to collect evidence against those who have participated in organizing these rumors and have included them as additional targets for legal action.”

They also emphasized that BTS is not connected to any cult, “We once again make it clear that there is no connection or association between our agency, our artist BTS, and Dahnworld. Rumors claiming any relationship between the lyrics of BTS songs and any artists are clearly false. After being aware of the unauthorized use of Dahnworld’s intellectual property in this matter, we immediately requested its deletion from Dahnworld and received a promise for prevention of recurrence. If similar issues arise in the future, we plan to take strong legal action in accordance with the principle of artist IP protection.”

They also addressed allegations of hoarding and illegal marketing. Big Hit stated, “Furthermore, allegations of illegal marketing, such as music hoarding, are also false, and we clearly state that they have nothing to do with the artists.”

They also provided an update on the investigation regarding YouTubers who spread false rumors.
