On the 5th of October, a media outlet exclusively reported that the trio were in talks to perform at the 2024 MAMA Awards. Fans went crazy hearing the news and were pleasantly surprised by the possibility of seeing the group reunite and perform for the 1st time in a long time.
This then was followed by an Mnet representative who told Star News, “The artists performing at the ‘2024 MAMA Awards’ (2024 MAMA AWARDS) have not been decided yet.”
Last September, BIGBANG members G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung made a surprise appearance at Taeyang’s solo concert TAEYANG 2024 TOUR [THE LIGHT YEAR]. At the time, G-Dragon, who was sitting in the audience, unexpectedly joined the stage, receiving a huge response from fans.
BIGBANG debuted in 2006 and gained fame with hits like “Lies,” “Last Farewell,” “Haru Haru,” “Sunset Glow,” “Let’s Not Fall in Love,” and “FXXK IT.” After releasing “Still Life” in 2022, the group entered a hiatus, with the members focusing on solo activities.
