IVE’s Jang Wonyoung has become a hot topic after reportedly purchasing a luxury villa in Hannam-dong entirely in cash.

According to reports from the real estate industry and the Supreme Court Registry on the 12th of November, Jang Wonyoung bought a 244㎡ (approximately 74 pyeong) unit at Lucid House in Hannam-dong for 13.7 billion won [$8,849,561] in March and completed the ownership transfer last month.

No mortgage was registered on the property, suggesting that it was a full cash transaction. The seller was reportedly Lee Ji Yong, former CEO of Daelim Trading and second-generation heir of the DL Group.

Regarding the matter, Jang Wonyoung’s agency Starship Entertainment stated to Xportsnews, “It’s a personal matter, so it’s difficult to confirm. It is understood that she plans to live there with her family.”

Lucid House is one of the most exclusive luxury complexes within the UN Village area. Since its launch in 2017, the average sale price exceeded 4 billion won per unit. With panoramic views of both the Han River and Namsan, the complex consists of just two buildings and 15 units, making it extremely rare.

At only 21 years old, Jang Wonyoung’s purchase of a 13.7 billion won luxury villa in cash has sparked widespread buzz. She first gained fame by ranking first on Mnet’s Produce 48 and debuted as a member of IZ*ONE in October 2018.
