Jessi Issues Apology And Statement Addressing Assault By A Man In Her Entourage

After one media outlet reported about a teenage fan who got assaulted by a man in Jessi’s entourage, the singer took to Instagram herself to clarify rumors and address the situation.

On October 12, Jessi took to Instagram to release a lengthy statement and apology explaining her side of the story, she wrote,

Hello, this is Jessi.

First, I would like to sincerely apologize for the concern caused by the recent reports related to the assault incident involving me.

While I was having a private meeting with an acquaintance, a fan approached me and asked for a photo. Due to the late hour, I politely declined twice, but in that moment, someone nearby—whom I had met for the first time that day—suddenly assaulted the fan. I was so shocked by the unexpected situation that I failed to give the fan the careful attention they deserved.

Regardless of the circumstances, I deeply regret that my fan suffered such an unfortunate incident, and I feel a strong sense of moral responsibility. After the incident occurred, my team and I contacted the victim’s mother, and we are working to ensure that the perpetrator is found quickly so they can apologize, compensate the victim, and face appropriate consequences.

I earnestly request that reports refrain from relying solely on one-sided claims or speculation regarding this matter.
