Famous Kpop Idol Files For Divorce From Husband Of Less Than 2 Years After Months Of Denying Divorce Rumors
Famous Kpop idol T-ara’s Jiyeon has personally revealed that she is in the process of divorcing Hwang Jae Gyun.
On the 5th of October, Jiyeon’s legal representative from Taeseong Law Firm confirmed the news. Previously on the same day, a media outlet exclusively reported that the former couple would be going their separate ways.
Jiyeon and Hwang Jae Gyun announced their marriage in February 2022, after six months of dating, and tied the knot in December of that year. However, after roughly two years, the couple has decided to part ways due to irreconcilable differences.
The rumors had been circulating since mid-2024 but both sides refuted the rumors at the time.
Jiyeon’s Official Statement reads as follows:

First, I would like to apologize for sharing unfortunate news.
We have mutually agreed to proceed with divorce mediation.
