EXO’s Kai Bursts Into Tears At His Comeback Press Conference, Why?
Kai made his solo comeback apart from EXO and shed tears in front of fans.
On the 21st of April, Kai held a media showcase for the release of his 4th mini album Wait On Me at YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. He also spent time with fans afterward.
Kai had enlisted in May 2023, completing basic training at the army training center and then serving as a social service worker. He was discharged in February of this year in good health. Since then, he has been active with live broadcasts, the web variety show The Accused, fashion pictorials, and more. Just two months later, he made a lightning-fast return with a solo comeback album.
Standing in front of fans that day, Kai began to say, “Thank you so much for being here with me…” but couldn’t finish his sentence as he lowered his head and burst into tears. Fans, also emotional, shouted, “Don’t cry! We love you!” In response, Kai jokingly said, “Can you be quiet for a sec?” but turned around, unable to stop crying.
Meanwhile, the showcase for Kai’s 4th mini album Wait On Me was held on the afternoon of the 21st at YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjang-dong, Seoul.
This album marks Kai’s first comeback in about two years since his 3rd mini album Rover in 2023. It’s a meaningful release that aims to redefine and showcase the “Kai style.” The album contains a total of 7 tracks, including the title song “Wait On Me.”
