Artist Credited For Popularizing Euro-Techno In South Korea Found Dead In Hotel Room At 58
Singer Kang Rin has passed away, he was 58 years old.
According to the music industry on the 4th of August, Kang Rin passed away last month. The exact cause of death has not been disclosed. Later, a report by Financial News stated that Kang Rin was found dead at a hotel in Yeouido, Seoul on July 31st. According to the police investigation, no signs of foul play were found.
Kang Rin debuted in the music scene in 1993 as a member of E.O.S alongside Kim Hyung Joong and Go Seok Young. The group released songs such as “Each One’s Way,” “An Unforgettable Memory,” “Dream, Illusion, and Delusion,” and “You Who Are Drifting Away.”
Kang Rin served as the keyboardist on E.O.S’s first album and later took on production duties for the second and third albums, helping to establish the group’s identity as a Euro techno team.
After leaving E.O.S, Kang Rin went on to release an album in 1995 under the team name Lynn O&X.
