“KATSEYE Is Bigger Than One Person,” Member’s Dad Remarks After Manon’s Hiatus Ignites Backlash

KATSEYE’s Daniela’s father is being blasted online for his recent comments following Manon’s hiatus from the group.

Recently, HxG announced that Manon is taking a hiatus to focus on her health. However, eyebrows were immediately raised with the conclusion of their statement, “…. we look forward to being together again when the time is right.”

The last line struck fans as odd because of the wording. This wasn’t helped by the fact that a lot of Manon fans have been taking to social media to discuss what they believe neglect on the agency’s part. Many allege that the agency has been trying to push out Manon from the group for some time.

Then, Manon took to Weverse to write, “Hi friends . I want you to hear this from me, I’m healthy, I’m okay, and I’m taking care of myself. Thank u for checking in! Sometimes things unfold in ways we don’t fully control, but I’m trusting the bigger picture. Thank you for standing by me. I love you endlessly and can’t wait to see you again.”

Due to what Manon said, many fans were on high alert with some thinking she’s being excluded from the group. To make matters worse, Daniela’s father took to social media to write, “We need girls who can grind. KATSEYE is power house. The show must go on.” And when a fan told him that the group is six, he replied with, “5 is ok too.”

He then added, “Come back when you ready to work,” and “THE SHOW MUST GO ON! With or without a member. KATSEYE IS BIGGER THAN ONE GIRL.”

Several fans have been calling out both Daniela and her dad for his remarks with many labeling it insensitive. Neither the group nor the agency have addressed the dad’s comments as of this writing.
