Another Member Of JYP’s Global Girl Group Leaves Both The Group And The Agency, Why?
VCHA member Kaylee has left the group!
On July 12, JYP Entertainment announced via a brief statement the following,
“After thorough discussions, JYP America and Kaylee have mutually agreed to end her activities with VCHA.”
They added, “We sincerely support each other’s future.”
VCHA was formed through the survival audition program A2K, a joint project between JYP Entertainment and Universal Music Group’s Republic Records. The group debuted in January 2024 with “Girls of the Year” and later released songs like “Only One.”
Kaylee’s departure marks the 2nd time the group’s lineup has changed. VCHA has been under the spotlight not too long ago after another former memebr, KG, left the group and sued the agency for alleged mistreatment and abuse.
This marks her first official move a year and 4 months after her hiatus from group activities, announced in March of last year. On the same day, Kaylee released a statement to fans announcing the news herself too.
This is Kaylee. I wanted to inform everyone that my journey
with JYP Entertainment and VCHA has come to an end.
Firstly, I want to express my deepest gratitude to JYP Entertainment for the incredible opportunity they gave me and for all the experiences I gained during my time as a trainee and member of VCHA.
To all the amazing VLIGHTS, who have supported us with so much love and passion — thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your encouragement has meant the world to me.
While this part of my life is closing, I am incredibly excited for the new one ahead. I’m looking forward to exploring new creative paths and sharing my own unique artistry with you all.
I’ve already started working on new things, and I can’t wait to show you what’s next.
