Member Of Popular Girl Group To Halt All Activities To Due To Poor Health, Will Not Join Group’s Upcoming Comeback

Kep1er member Youngeun is temporarily halting her activities.

On July 15, her agency WakeOne stated, “Youngeun has recently been in poor health and received medical advice that she needs sufficient rest and recovery.”

After discussions with Youngeun, the decision was made; based on her own wishes; that she will take a break for the time being. The agency added, “Youngeun’s health is the top priority.”

As a result, Youngeun will not participate in the group’s upcoming August comeback or other scheduled activities for now. Kep1er will continue promotions as a six-member group during her absence.

The agency further stated, “Youngeun will focus on recovery while continuing her daily life in a stable environment. We will do our utmost to support her so that she can return to fans as soon as possible, in a healthy and bright state.”

Youngeun made her debut in 2022 as part of the 7-member group Kep1er after finishing 5th on Mnet’s audition program Girls Planet 999 in 2021. After completing activities in Japan this past April, Kep1er had been planning to return with a new release in August.
