Veteran Singer Under Fire For Leaking The Face Of Kpop Idol’s Wife At Their Wedding Ceremony
Singer Kim Jang Hoon (62) apologized for exposing the face of the non-celebrity wife of Mir (34, Bang Cheol Yong), a former member of the group MBLAQ. Mir is the younger brother of actress Go Eun Ah (37, birth name Bang Hyo Jin).
On the 21st of December, Kim Jang Hoon posted a video on his Instagram along with the message, “Went to the wedding of Go Eun Ah’s younger brother, Bang Cheol Yong, and suddenly got hit with reality.”
The problem arose because Kim Jang Hoon overlooked the fact that the wedding was held privately out of consideration for the non-celebrity bride, and he exposed the face of Mir’s wife without any mosaic. While Mir himself and even his older sister Go Eun Ah did not post any photos or videos related to the wedding, Kim Jang Hoon unexpectedly made it public.
As netizens pointed this out, Kim Jang Hoon deleted the video and posted an apology on social media on the 22nd. He opened up by saying, “I offer my apologies regarding the wedding video of Bang Cheol Yong. I went to the wedding yesterday (21st), sang Highway Romance excitedly during the second part of the congratulatory songs, finished enjoyably, and then posted a video of the bride and groom’s exit. I never dreamed that it was supposed to be private.”
He continued, “I was completely unaware it was private until I heard from my manager that I was in the news, and I took it down hastily, but it has already spread so much that I cannot take it back. I feel utterly embarrassed because, not knowing this, I even had a phone call with Cheol Yong’s family saying how well everything ended.”
Kim Jang Hoon blamed himself, stating, “Since my return, I have been careful as if walking on thin ice to avoid causing controversy, yet I have still shown such pathetic behavior and failed to act my age. I am so embarrassed and sorry. I deserve to be sworn at and criticized. In the future, I will do my best to look into, confirm, and think about everything more obsessively so that this does not happen again.”
He repeatedly expressed his regret, saying, “I have become very busy lately and my situation has improved a lot, so I have been living with the resolution to ‘not be arrogant’ and ‘always live with a humble attitude,’ but for this to happen makes me feel incredibly pathetic. I am so sorry.”
Additionally, Kim Jang Hoon stated, “I am especially sorry to Eun Ah, Cheol Yong, Eun Ah’s older sister, and their mother… they are special people who I treat like family, so I am even more sorry for making this mistake. From today, I will look back at myself with the humblest attitude and pull myself together to become a different person. I am very embarrassed and sincerely sorry.”
