After The Sudden Tragic Death Of 29-Year Old Model Kim Jong Seok, His Sister Pleads With Netizens To Stop Spreading False Rumors

Model Kim Jong-seok (29)’s family has denied rumors surrounding his death.

On June 6, Kim’s older sister posted on Instagram Stories: “We hurriedly held the funeral after the sudden passing. But there are distorted and false rumors spreading online that are causing great pain to the family. We hadn’t responded until now because we wanted Jong-seok to rest in peace. We never expected such absurd rumors to spread. But none of them are true.”

Kim Jong-seok passed away on June 4, with the cause of death not officially revealed. His funeral was held on the morning of June 6 at Maru Park Funeral Hall in Hanam, and he was laid to rest at Chuncheon Rest Place and Yanggu Columbarium.

The reason the sister is pleading is because of the rampant unverified rumors that have been circulating online about her brother’s death. His death has been linked to the death of a man who reportedly struck his girlfriend and was separated by police before later dying by suicide. This happened around June 4 which fueled the rumors further.

Kim Jong Seok’s sister denied these rumors and promised to release recordings and more to prove otherwise, she wrote, “I will soon organize and release the police recording, a recording from the friend who was there, and the last conversation the other party had with me. Please, for the sake of the deceased, stop the slander. Please also delete any posts you’ve uploaded. Let him rest in peace. Malicious content will be reported to the cyber investigation unit.”

Kim Jong-seok was active as a beauty and fashion model, gaining recognition through a YouTube Shorts video with the men’s grooming brand Dashu. He also appeared in the 2022 tvN dating show “Skip.”
