Kim Soo Hyun Files Additional Lawsuits Against Both Kim Sae Ron’s Family And Controversial YouTuber

Actor Kim Soo Hyun‘s side has filed an additional lawsuit and complaint for false accusation against the bereaved family of the late Kim Sae Ron and YouTube channel “Garo Sero Institute” (Gaseyeon) CEO Kim Se Ui, who alleged that Kim Soo Hyun dated Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor.

On June 23, legal representatives of Kim Soo Hyun and his agency Gold Medalist, LKB & Partners, stated, “CEO Kim Se Ui and Kim Sae Ron’s family not only spread false information based on a fabricated audio recording, but also filed a criminal complaint accusing Kim Soo Hyun of violating the Child Welfare Act, which constitutes a clear case of false accusation.”

They added, “During a press conference on May 7, CEO Kim played an AI deepfake voice file allegedly of Kim Sae Ron and claimed, ‘Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron dated since middle school and this recording proves it,’ and ‘Kim Soo Hyun offered the whistleblower 4 billion won to obtain the file, and when refused, sent two killers to murder the whistleblower.’ These are absurd and groundless lies.”

“Fabricating evidence is a serious crime, but filing a criminal complaint using fabricated evidence is an even graver offense. Gold Medalist and Kim Soo Hyun have swiftly taken additional legal action and will do their utmost to ensure those responsible are punished according to the law and principles,” they stated.

Kim Soo Hyun’s side has been embroiled in legal disputes with Kim Sae Ron’s family and Gaseyeon since March. Kim Sae Ron’s family claimed through Gaseyeon that she was in a relationship with Kim Soo Hyun from 2016, when she was 15, for six years, demanding a sincere apology. Kim Soo Hyun’s side countered, stating that they dated only after she became an adult—from the summer of 2019 to fall of 2020.
