Known Idol-Actress Reveals She Lost 10 kg [22 lb] After Seeing Her Face Next To Kim Tae Ri’s
OH MY GIRL’s Seunghee confessed that she went on a diet after being shocked by visuals that were compared to actress Kim Tae Ri.
On the December 24 broadcast of the MBC variety show “Radio Star” (hereafter “Las”), episode 946 featured guests Nam Jin, Seol Woon Do, Jadu, and OH MY GIRL’s Seunghee.
On this day, Seunghee said she gained a lot of weight while filming “Jeongnyeon,” explaining, “It was delicious so I ate a lot. During filming, I gained about 5 kg.”
When Kim Gura asked, “What did you eat so much?” Seunghee replied, “I ate a lot of late-night food.” She continued, “The reason I gained weight is because idols usually just need to be slim for about two weeks while doing music shows. But since it was a drama, we filmed for a year. I couldn’t maintain it. I’d gain weight, then lose it, gain it again, then lose it again. When I watched ‘Jeongnyeon,’ I was really shocked. I had many scenes with Tae Ri unnie. We were holding onto each other emotionally, but my hands and face were bigger. After watching the video, I was shocked and thought, ‘Let’s lose weight,’ and I ended up losing almost 10 kg all at once,” revealing what motivated her to diet.
She then said there was a misunderstanding she wanted to clear up, adding, “I said I lost 10 kg, right? People asked if I had depression. I don’t have blackout curtains at home, and I get plenty of sunlight. But even an acquaintance said to me, ‘You have depression, right? That’s why you lost weight, right?’ So I want to clarify here that it’s not depression. I lost weight because I was personally shocked.”
Meanwhile, Seunghee appeared last October on OH MY GIRL Mimi’s channel “Mim PD,” where she confessed that her weight was 40 kg [88 lb]. At the time, after undergoing a body composition analysis (InBody), Seunghee shared her concern, saying, “When I’m active, I have no strength and feel dizzy,” and a trainer advised her, “You need to gain weight up to at least 50 kg [110lb].”
