Lee Dae Hwi Reportedly in Talks to Join WAKEONE, Would Reunite With Kim Jae Hwan

Former Wanna One member Lee Dae Hwi is reportedly moving toward a reunion with Kim Jae Hwan under the same agency, with talks pointing toward a move to WAKEONE.

An entertainment industry insider told JTBC Entertainment News on the 20th, “Lee Dae Hwi has decided to work with WAKEONE and is currently discussing an exclusive contract. Both sides are exchanging views smoothly.”

Lee Dae Hwi appeared on Mnet’s “Produce 101” Season 2, where he was selected as one of the final debut members, going on to debut with Wanna One in 2017. After the project group’s activities ended, he re-debuted with AB6IX. Following a successful concert in May marking the group’s 7th debut anniversary, he ended his exclusive contract with Brand New Music.

He had previously said he planned to focus on individual activities rather than group promotions for the time being. Lee Dae Hwi is now reportedly choosing WAKEONE as the starting point for his new chapter. WAKEONE’s current roster includes fellow Wanna One member Kim Jae Hwan, along with IZ*ONE’s Jo Yu Ri, Kim Feel, Hoppipolla’s Ha Hyun Sang, Kep1er, ZEROBASEONE, izna, and ALPHA DRIVE ONE. Since Lee Dae Hwi’s move to WAKEONE would reunite him with Kim Jae Hwan under one roof, that part of the news is also drawing attention.
