Lee Mi Joo Caught In Dating Rumors 6 Months After Quiet Breakup, Agency Says This

Lee Mi Joo, formerly of the group Lovelyz, has firmly denied her second dating rumor. With only six months having passed since her first public relationship ended, she drew a clear line this time.

On July 25, reports surfaced claiming that Lee Mi Joo was dating Hanwha Eagles outfielder Lee Jin Young. However, her agency, Antenna, was quick to shut it down, stating, “They don’t even know each other.”

The initial report claimed that the two were in a relationship, highlighting their three-year age difference and suggesting they were a “noona-dongsaeng” couple. The alleged “evidence” pointed to a lighting fixture seen in Lee Mi Joo’s recently revealed home in a YouTube video, which resembled one in Lee Jin Young’s social media post.

It also noted that Lee Mi Joo and her family have long been fans of the Hanwha Eagles, and she has shown affection for the team by throwing the ceremonial first pitch several times.

However, the agency firmly denied all claims. Speaking to OSEN, Antenna stated, “The dating rumor with Lee Jin Young is completely unfounded. They do not know each other.” The swift denial was intended to prevent the spread of misinformation.

Ultimately, the second dating rumor was confirmed to be nothing more than a rumor.

Previously, Lee Mi Joo went public with her relationship for the first time in April last year, confirming she was dating football player Song Bum Keun, who is three years younger than her. Their relationship attracted a lot of attention, especially after it was acknowledged on the MBC variety show “Hangout With Yoo.”

After quietly dating for several months, the couple was reported to have broken up in January, just nine months later. While her agency declined to comment at the time, citing privacy concerns, Lee Mi Joo hinted at the breakup on various variety shows. It was reported that the pressures of a public relationship contributed to the split.
