Idol Of One Of The Biggest OG Kpop Boy Groups Surprises With Wedding Announcement
OG kpop boy group Shinhwa’s Lee Minwoo is getting married!
On July 25, Lee Minwoo shared the news of his upcoming marriage through a heartfelt post on his personal social media.
Lee Minwoo wrote, “After going through various situations recently that left me emotionally exhausted, I spent a lot of time with my family and came to reflect once again on the meaning of family. I’ve always had a vague desire to someday build a home of my own, where we could be each other’s strength,” and continued, “During that time, I reconnected with someone I’ve known for a long time, and after confirming we shared the same feelings, we decided to become a family.”
He added, “I really struggled with how to share this news, and it wasn’t easy to pick up the pen, but I didn’t want Shinhwa fans to hear it from somewhere else first and feel disappointed. So although it may be clumsy, I’m sharing the news myself,” and said, “I want to be congratulated by Shinhwa fans, the ones I treasure most, so I hope you’ll warmly bless this message that comes from my heart.”
He also reflected, “From debuting with Shinhwa to the passionate days of my teens, twenties, and thirties, I’ve been incredibly lucky to receive endless love and support from Shinhwa fans. Because of your constant encouragement and warmth toward someone as lacking as me, I was able to take one more step forward. Though there were hard times, not a single moment spent living as Lee Minwoo on stage was anything but happy.” He concluded, “There will be a new chapter in my life going forward, but fueled by the love of Shinhwa fans and my family, I promise to continue meeting you all as the unchanging Lee Minwoo, whether on stage or anywhere else.”
Lee Minwoo debuted with the group Shinhwa in 1998 and received immense love from fans. Following Eric, Jun Jin, and Andy, he becomes the fourth member of Shinhwa to get married. He is currently appearing on KBS2’s Mr. House Husband Season 2.
