Hook Entertainment Singer Lee Sun Hee Fined For Misuse Of Corporate Card Over The Period From 2011 To 2022
Singer Lee Sun Hee has revealed that she received a summary order for a fine due to the misuse of a corporate card and has expressed her apologies.
On the 29th of July, through her agency, Hook Entertainment, Lee Sun Hee stated, “Last year, I underwent a thorough investigation by the authorities concerning suspicions related to Hook Entertainment. While the authorities found no issues with other allegations, they determined that some corporate card usage by my personal corporation, One Entertainment, from 2011 to 2022, could not be justified for business purposes. Consequently, a summary order for a fine was issued, and I humbly accepted it with a reflective heart.”
She continued, “For the past 40 years, I’ve received much love as a public figure and singer, and I should have handled everything meticulously, even the smallest things. I deeply regret the things I overlooked due to ignorance. Most importantly, I am sincerely sorry for disappointing the many fans who found comfort and hope through my songs over the past 40 years. From now on, I will strive to live without shame as a singer, Lee Sun Hee.”
Previously, while investigating embezzlement allegations against Kwon Jin Young, the CEO of Hook Entertainment, the police expanded their investigation to include Lee Sun Hee on charges of breach of trust. The police suspected that Lee Sun Hee, while serving as the CEO of One Entertainment, embezzled company funds. Although Lee Sun Hee denied the allegations during the police investigation, the case has been forwarded to the prosecution.
