Beloved Famous Yoga Instructor Lee Yoo Joo Passes Away At 35

The famous yoga instructor Lee Yoo Joo, who gained recognition through appearances on shows like “Infinite Challenge,” has passed away at the age of 35.

On February 19, Yogaum, the yoga studio she operated, announced the news on Instagram, stating, “We bring heartbreaking and sudden news. Teacher Lee Yoo Joo passed away yesterday, February 18. In accordance with the wishes of the bereaved family, there will be no separate funeral or memorial. Instead, a space for a final farewell will be available at Yogaum until this Friday.”

They added, “Please pray for the soul of Teacher Lee Yoo Joo, who was beautiful, pure, and brightened the world with her special talent, so that she may rest in peace.”

Lee Yoo Joo actively promoted the benefits of yoga through various media appearances and built her public presence as a model for brands like Samsung, Reebok, and Fitbit.

Before her passing, she posted a series of meaningful messages on social media. The day before she passed, she uploaded a selfie on Instagram with the caption “Bye.”

On December 13 of last year, she wrote, “I have been thinking about retiring, but I don’t know what life will be like afterward. I am working as if squeezing out the last drops, and my sister is struggling a lot. I don’t want to say or hear anything. Seeing the gifts I receive daily, I know I should be grateful and gain strength, but I have no energy left to feel thankful. I want to retire before I cause any harm.”

She had also previously shared on SNS, “I don’t like pretending to be fine just to maintain appearances or because I’m afraid others will undervalue me. I want to say I am in pain when I am in pain, but I don’t want to be worried about or pitied. I should be absorbing encouragement and support to keep going, but it doesn’t reach me. I just want to rest and find myself.”
