Choi Sang Yeop of the band LUCY is getting married. On August 17th, his agency Mystic announced, “Our artist Choi Sang Yeop of LUCY is preparing for a precious relationship and a new beginning this August.”

The agency added, “Out of consideration for his partner, who is not a celebrity, the wedding will be held privately, so we ask for your understanding that specific details cannot be disclosed.” They also noted, “Choi Sang Yeop will continue to repay fans with great music and activities as a member of LUCY, unchanged.”

The same day, Choi Sang Yeop personally shared the news with fans in a handwritten letter.

Hello, this is Choi Sang Yeop of LUCY.

I sincerely thank all the fans who have always given me more love than I deserve, and who have stayed by my side so I could happily make music as a member of the band LUCY.

To those of you who have trusted and supported me for so long, I wanted to speak with you directly, so I’m leaving this heartfelt message.

I am about to begin a new chapter in my life with someone I have cherished and relied on for a long time.

I imagine some of you may be surprised by this sudden news. Even so, I wanted to be the first to share this precious moment in my life with you before anyone else.
