MC Mong And One Hundred’s CEO Cha Ga Won Reportedly Involved In An Extramarital Affair, Both Sides Deny
Cha Ga Won, Chairperson of p-Arc Group and CEO of One Hundred, has issued a clarification regarding the explicit KakaoTalk messages allegedly involving an alleged affair with MC Mong, stating they were “fabricated” and that she “received an apology from MC Mong.”
On the 24th of December, media outlet The Fact released KakaoTalk messages reportedly exchanged between Chairperson Cha Ga Won and MC Mong. The messages contained explicit content such as: “I can make more sperm come out,” “So that’s why we couldn’t get pregnant despite our efforts,” “Let’s go to the hospital tomorrow. I’ve been getting ovulation injections for 3 months,” and “I tried with you for 2 months, having relations almost twice a week.”
The Fact added that these conversations took place via mobile messenger in April and May, and cited the 12 billion won lawsuit—confirmed after Chairperson Cha withdrew a loan repayment claim in June only to resume it in November—as circumstantial evidence of their relationship.
After the viral report, One Hundred released a press statement saying, “Following a factual confirmation, it was found that the article’s contents and the KakaoTalk conversations were entirely untrue. These were fabricated and sent by MC Mong while he was being threatened by a relative of Chairperson Cha Ga Won“ They further explained, “At the time, a person referred to as Mr. Cha (identified as Cha Jun Young) threatened MC Mong to forcibly sell his shares in an attempt to seize management rights of Big Planet Made, and it was during this process that MC Mong’s fabricated KakaoTalk messages were delivered.”
Chairperson Cha Ga Won claimed through the media outlet The Fact on the 24th that the KakaoTalk logs released were not shared with her, and that the media outlet reported messages manufactured by MC Mong without proper verification.
Chairperson Cha’s side stated, “After checking the report, MC Mong contacted the company to apologize. We plan to take strong legal action against Cha Jun Young and The Fact, the outlet that first reported the story.” They also warned, “We will respond to malicious framing and the spread of false information targeting our artists and management with a zero-tolerance policy.”
Regarding this issue, MC Mong offered a similar explanation: “On June 30, there was an attempt to hijack the company. Fake documents allegedly from Cha Ga Won‘s relative and a contract demanding the transfer of shares appeared. Messages created for defense and messages that do not actually exist were reinterpreted and edited into the article. I tried to contact the news organization, but there was no response.”
