MC Mong Confirms That He’s Indeed Leaving ONEHUNDRED But Not For The Reasons Netizens Had Believed
MC Mong is stepping down from his role as a producer at ONEHUNDRED, he confirmed via a personal statement!
Recently, revealed that although MC Mong co-founded ONEHUNDRED with Chairman Cha Gawon, he was recently excluded from duties at the company and he’s stepping down. The agency declined to explain the exact reasoning behind MC Mong stepping down. They stated that “MC Mong is currently excluded from company work due to personal reasons.” This raised suspicion that something had gone wrong considering the wording and the timing of the statement which coincided with a former The Boyz’ member departure from both his group and his agency due to engaging in alleged prostitution which was later revealed to be false.
On the 17th of July, MC Mong posted a lengthy message on his account, saying, “I think the first thing I should do is let the fans know.”
MC Mong began by saying, “During this time, I suffered from extremely severe depression, and after one surgery and a decline in health, it became so hard that making music was difficult. You don’t need to pay attention to the floating rumors going around like vague stories — I’m just trying to choose a way that will allow me to make music for a longer time.”
He continued, “I’ve entrusted all my producer duties at ONEHUNDRED and BPM, which I love dearly, to Chairman Cha Gawon, and I’ve decided to study abroad for the sake of my health and personal growth.”
He also shared his plans to prepare and release an album this year.
