Famous Artist-CEO Gains Immense Backlash For Showcasing A Painting Of Adolf Hitler In His Home, He Explains Why
MC Mong HAS recently found himself in controversy after a painting featuring Adolf Hitler was seen hanging in his home.
Recently, MC Mong shared photos of his house interior on his social media account, and some netizens pointed out the painting on the wall and criticized him, saying, “Why would you hang a picture of the dictator responsible for World War II and the Holocaust?” and “Are you idolizing Hitler?”
MC Mong later took to social media to clarify the issue. He wrote, “This painting is an early work by artist Ok Seung Cheol. The straw-colored beard expresses human greed and selfishness — a depiction of the savagery of people who feed off others’ blood,” adding, “Please understand it as a piece of art.”
He continued, expressing frustration, “It’s a painting that’s been displayed since my time at the Double Sidekick recording studio and even at BPM Entertainment. I’ve shown it several times before — why is this suddenly becoming an issue now?”
MC Mong went on, “Some works of art are created to criticize or provoke, and there are art lovers who appreciate that. People who don’t understand art write ignorantly, creating false intentions and narratives on their own,” voicing his discomfort.
He further clarified, “I hate Hitler. I hate anyone who starts wars,” emphasizing that he is not a supporter of Hitler.
MC Mong later posted another statement expressing anger at some media outlets for linking this issue to his past military service controversy. He wrote, “I thought if I stayed quiet, everything would be fine, but they’re bringing up the military evasion issue again. Even with a torn cruciate ligament and herniated discs in both my neck and back — conditions that alone qualify for military exemption — I endured it. Once again, unlike other celebrities, I was acquitted of all charges related to draft dodging in the first, second, and Supreme Court rulings.”
He warned, “From now on, any media outlet, broadcaster, or commenter who calls me a draft dodger will face legal action. I won’t show leniency.”
MC Mong continued, “I’m curious why these attacks started right after I left BPM Entertainment. Let’s see this through to the end. Some media wrote articles falsely accusing Joo Haknyeon of solicitation, and now, people who don’t even understand art are pretending to be critics, turning me into a Nazi.”
He concluded, “If public opinion can change because of one post, then I guess I’ll have to relive the 17 years I spent in silence.”
