Min Hee Jin Claims HYBE Tried To Give Her Money To Leave ADOR, Blocked NewJeans’ Fanmeeting Plans And Album Release, HYBE Strongly Denies
Min Hee Jin was recently interviewed by JoongAng Ilbo and has shared new allegations against HYBE!
On the 26th of September, former Adore CEO Min Hee-jin had a media interview. Min reiterated that her dismissal was “unjust,” claiming that both she and NewJeans have suffered unfair damages due to this situation. HYBE immediately refuted her claims as “false accusations.”
In a recently released interview with the JoongAng Ilbo, Min stated, “HYBE appointed a new representative without industry experience and formed a board of directors. This is completely different from the guarantees about the independence of the ‘Min Hee-jin label’ that Chairman Bang Si-hyuk first proposed and promised,” maintaining her assertion that her dismissal was unjust.
When asked about the cause of the current situation, she strongly responded, “It’s a public execution against the subsidiary CEO for openly going against the mood of the parent company.” Regarding the opinion that a 100 billion won put option is the cause of the conflict, she claimed, “After winning the injunction in May, I received a negotiation proposal from HYBE saying, ‘We’ll give you money, so take it and leave.’ However, since money was not my goal, I rejected it.”
She also emphasized, “I was dismissed while preparing for a surprise fan meeting for Korean fans (of NewJeans). The next album project was also halted. This is HYBE obstructing the work related to NewJeans,” highlighting that NewJeans is suffering damage.
HYBE immediately issued a statement refuting Min’s claims. They stated, “We have never proposed a negotiation plan of ‘We’ll give you money, so take it and leave.’ It is absurd to make such ridiculous false claims. During her tenure as a representative, Min was guaranteed more authority over production and management than any other label,” asserting that they kept their promise regarding independence.
Regarding the suspension of NewJeans’ fan meeting and album production, they pointed out, “Min has caused disruptions by delaying responses or suddenly taking long vacations,” placing responsibility on Min. They further stated, “Min’s dissemination of false facts through interviews reveals serious disqualifications as a manager.”
As the back-and-forth continues, the members of NewJeans remain silent. Having surpassed the deadline they set for Min’s return, it seems they are observing the situation for the time being while considering future response strategies.

On the other hand, Min’s side stated to Hankyoreh, “Nothing has been decided regarding whether to accept HYBE’s proposal or Min’s future.”
